Foundations Therapy & Support is growing and would love to welcome Occupational Therapists to join our team.

The Role

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about working with children and their families to assist children to succeed, thrive and achieve their most meaningful goals. Successful applicants will be team players who are eager to grow their clinical skills, enjoy contributing to a positive team culture and who share our values of collaboration, compassion and connection. 

Qualifications:

To be successful in the role, you will have: 

  • Current general registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist (or those eligible for registration)

  • Current Australian Drivers License & NDIS Workers Screening Check

  • Strong time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload

  • A proactive attitude and interest in continually developing your skills

  • Desire to grow within your role

  • A genuine passion for working with children and their families

  • Be a wonderful person who loves to have fun and be a team player


Responsibilities: 

  • Facilitating therapy in inner Melbourne, VIC, in natural environments (e.g. child’s home, school, kinder or even nearby park) 

  • Manage an allocated caseload and deliver timely therapeutic services 

  • Support children and teenagers with neurodivergent profiles to build independence, regulation, motor, social, and emotional skills

  • Collaborate closely with families, educators, and allied health professionals to ensure consistent strategies across settings

  • Facilitate group-based OT programs, such as Sense AFL, that integrate movement, teamwork and therapeutic goals

  • Assess and plan therapy goals using evidence-informed tools and frameworks

  • Prepare documentation including session notes, reports, funding applications, and NDIS-related support

  • Engage in regular clinical supervision, professional development and team connection activities

  • Maintain a strengths-based, neuroaffirming approach in all interactions with children and their families

  • Contribute to program development and innovation, including new group offerings or community initiatives

  • Actively participate in team culture, attending co-working days, social events and team meetings
